Most people drink the same roast for years out of habit. This trio is three 250g bags — light, medium, dark — so you can actually work out what you like instead of what you're used to. This month's line-up:
- 1 × 250g light roast — Ethiopian, washed: jasmine, lemon, tea-like body. Yes, coffee can taste like flowers; no, we can't explain it either.
- 1 × 250g medium roast — Brazilian, natural: chocolate and hazelnut, the crowd-pleaser
- 1 × 250g dark roast — Italian-style blend: heavy, cocoa, built for milk
- A tasting card with brewing notes and a pencil, because it's genuinely fun to score them against each other
- 20 unbleached filter papers, so the answer to "do I have filters?" doesn't kill the experiment on day one
What's in them: 100% arabica, roasted the week we ship, origin and farm details on every bag. Beans only — we can't guess your grinder situation, and pre-ground loses the plot in days anyway. Decaf swaps are possible: flag it at checkout and we'll swap the dark roast for the Swiss Water decaf.

"Turns out I've been a medium-roast person all along and drinking dark out of pure inertia for a decade. The tasting card gimmick actually works — we did it as a blind test with friends and it got embarrassingly competitive."
"Coffee itself was lovely, especially the Brazilian. But delivery took six days instead of the 2–4 promised, and coffee that sits in a warehouse isn't thrilled about it. Support explained the Friday restock rush and threw in a €5 voucher, so not a disaster. Just order early in the week."
"Good beans, clearly fresh — you can smell it through the bag, in the good way. Docking a star because the Ethiopian is a love-it-or-hate-it situation and I hated it, while my partner drank the whole bag. Personal taste, not quality. The filters were a thoughtful touch."
